Elyssa Astegiano

Instrument: Clarinet

Elyssa Astegiano is a Wichita area clarinetist and a music educator in the Wichita Public Schools. Elyssa earned her Associates in Liberal Arts Degree at Butler Community College and then transferred to Friends University to complete a degree in Music Education. In addition to many other ensembles, Elyssa has played with the Wichita Youth Symphony, the Friends Community Orchestra, and the Winfield Symphony. She was the 2016 Ark City Art Center Music Mentee, and in May 2017 performed with the Friends University Community Orchestra as a winner in the Robert Miller Concerto Competition. In July 2018, Elyssa attended the Masterworks Music Festival as a student of the Woodwind Intensive Study program where she studied the clarinet under Diana Haskell, associate principal of the St. Louis Symphony. Elyssa is a student of Rachelle Goter.
